  • 1796 Chmelna: In Chmelna 1796, only lived 500 people. Simon Mahlers' family was the only German speaking (with Jewish roots).
  • 1850: His marriage was legalized.
  • 26-05-1857: His son Josef (Born: 20-09-1830) married a wealthy widow from Polné (Barboru Neumann, born Federovou). It brings a fortune in the family. Josef helps his father to expand his business.
  • 1860 Kaliste: Simon Mahler moved from Kaliste to Havlickuv Brod.
  • 1861 Havlickuv Brod: Simon Mahler opened at No. 41 a store which sells alcohol, food en small daily necessities.
  • 30-04-1861 Havlickuv Brod : Simon Mahler buys (shorly before his death) a house in Havlickuv Brod for his son Filip Mahler (Born: 13-01-1835). His business also goes to Filip Mahler.
  • 1865 Havlickuv Brod: Josef Mahler buys a house in Horni Street 10. He paid 975 golden coins to someone called Marii Vorlove. He started a shop at this address.
  • 1865 Havlickuv Brod: The original business of Simon Mahler is now seperated in two parts: Josef Mahler and Filip Mahler. The two families shared there Jewish customs and spoke Geman between each other.
